The vast riches of our nation’s geography is part of the birthright of every American citizen. From the preservation of natural history, the ever-present need for clean air, water, fertile soil and abundant energy, into future uses as-yet undiscovered and unplanned, the country is kept beautiful and strong through good stewardship. Each generation inherits a duty to appreciate and conserve the gifts of nature.
Abundance
Stewardship of natural resources allows abundance for all Americans.
-
Energy abundance enables affordability and creates independence from foreign entanglement. Fuel and electricity are basic inputs into all other goods and services. Self-reliance keeps American job creators and households safe from geopolitical turmoil. Stronger still, American Energy Dominance exports stability by competing peacefully through free exchange.

We envision a revitalized American educational experience where students are not just passive recipients of an assigned worldview, but can become active investigators and caring stewards of their own local natural heritage to help Make America Beautiful Again.
41 states report a shortage of science teachers (more than any other topic area). Environmental science is the most addressable specialty to meet that need by tapping into local expertise, along with leveraging AI tools for students to engage with their immediate surroundings and study their region’s ecologies.
Environmental science has also historically been the area of American education most severely polluted by international ideological beliefs that attempt to replace critical thinking with blind allegiance to a global climate agenda.
Typical environmental education (EE) relies too often and too much upon generic, one-size-fits-all modules that not only miss an opportunity to engage students with their immediate surroundings, but also neglect the key roles of local industries (energy production and manufacturing as well as farming and forestry). Instead of alienating students and teachers from the relevant subject matter experts in their local communities, best practices for teacher training should engage with them.
Our recommendations align with EO 14179 (American Leadership in AI) as well as EO 14277 "Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth" building on EPA’s effective prior work including the Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators and the President's Environmental Youth Award.
Following EO 13855 on the Active Management of our forests and watersheds, CAIP advocates for environmental education ensuring students understand that human stewardship is essential to preventing natural disasters like wildfires, and maintaining the beauty of our Great American Outdoors.

Along with the infrastructure for energy and electricity, Americans need homes.
It is widely known that unnecessary red tape slows or stops the supply of new housing.
Further research studies should investigate the specifics of state level subdivision and site plan reviews, building code consistency, permitting "shot-clocks," agency centralization, zoning appeals, and third-party inspection protocols.
